to the Shoals on a fishing account in 1632. Partner of Stephen Crawford in
1640 and adm. his est. He had a lot in Portsm. bef. Mar 1646, various grants
later. Portsm. selectm. (1648 prob.), 1655, 1657; Shoals constable 1655; gr.j.
1659. In 1660 he had a deed from Joseph Mason of the Ralph Gee est. which he
had adm. in 1645, and in 1669 from the Drakes(5) and John Berry(7) a deed of
the Little Harbor prop. where Wm. Berry had liv. A ct. case with Nicholas Hodge
over this prop. in 1686 brot out deponents who told that the ho. was orig.
built by Richard Tucker. Lists 312c, 313a, 323, 324(2), 326ac, 327a, 330zb,
331bc, 356b, 43, 47, 49, 52, 54, 71, 80, 84. See also (6), Crawford (5), Lane
(1). In 1679, with no ment. of w., he deeded to s. William (b. abt 1648), he
to pay the others: Elizabeth abt 17 in 1669, Odiorne in 1679, prob w. of
Phillip (7). John abt 15 in 1669. Stephen taxed Blood Point 1677, liv. 1679;
List 359a. William. sr., abt 80 depos. in Feb 1682-3 that he first new Thomas
Walford over 45 years ago. Not seen surely aft 1684; his son was 'jr' 30 July
1686 and served on a j. in 1687 (not jr.)
